What to expect
Age UK CAP provides opportunities for older people to socialise. This includes friendship and support in the form of regular contact from a fully trained volunteer, either by a visit to your home (Sharing Time) or a telephone call (Telephone Befriending).
Volunteering is another free activity to consider. There are many benefits, including improving your own mental health, reducing loneliness, meeting new people, keeping active, engaging with community activities, sharing skills or acquiring new skills, making a difference, feeling valued, and gaining confidence.
