Arthur Rank Hospice Charity supports people with end of life care. Arthur's Shed is based at the Hospice and is a community hub that provides free workshops/talks on topics as diverse as card making, paper crafts and astronomy. Everyone is welcome to join!
This activity is good for wellbeing because
- you can learn or share skills, hobbies and interests;
- you can meet people from your local community in a calm and supportive space;
- you can share your passions with others by becoming an Arthur’s Shed volunteer.

What to expect
Arthur’s Shed is a place for anyone and everyone – you don’t need to have an association with the Arthur Rank Hospice to attend events and activities there (or to volunteer as a speaker or to run an activity).
Arthur’s Shed events are on the ARHC web link on this page. If you see an event or activity you would like to attend, call or email to book onto a session.
On arrival you will be greeted by a receptionist and shown where to find the Shed. You’ll find refreshments available in the Shed free of charge and all materials will be provided. Sessions are flexible so if you need to leave at any time you can.
More information
The Shed is fully accessible.
If arriving by car, you should park at Babraham Park & Ride, CB22 3AB and use the footpath on the left of the entrance to walk to the Hospice. The white sign (pictured below) shows the entrance to the footpath.
Parking at the Hospice is for patients and their visitors but there are some disabled parking bays at the front of the hospice for blue badge holders.
All activity at the Shed is free of charge.
A small donation per session is welcomed to cover the cost of materials.
