Cambourne Youth Partnership works alongside Romsey Mill to deliver activities and support for young people, including youth clubs, football sessions and a group for young people who are home-educated.
This activity is good for wellbeing because
- being with other young people and taking part in activities gets you out of the house;
- Youth Development Workers from Romsey Mill are available to help and support you, whatever challenges you may be facing;
- connecting with other young people outside of school builds confidence, self-esteem and social skills.

What to expect
Youth Clubs
There are a variety of weekly, age-based youth clubs in the Cambourne Soul building running during school term-time. These youth clubs are open-access, which means any young person within the age group is welcome to attend - there is no need to book. At the youth clubs there are games, such as pool, table football, games consoles and board games, as well as opportunities for baking, arts & crafts and playing and making music. After you come along for the first time, your parents/guardians will be asked to fill in a consent form (which can be found on this link). To find out when the Youth Clubs are, email Emma on the contact info provided.
Home Education Group
Providing a safe and supportive space for young people of secondary school age who are home educated. Activities include cooking, arts & crafts, games, sports and music. You can also chat with the Youth Development Workers. If you are anxious about attending, you (or your parent/guardian) can arrange for a home visit beforehand or you can meet a Youth Development Worker before the session starts to get settled. You don't have to be a resident of Cambourne to attend this group. For more information, including when the Group meets, email Emma on the contact info provided.
More information
As well as activities and groups, the Romsey Mill Youth Development Workers can meet young people one-to-one to talk about anything that might be on their minds - this can range from difficulties with mental health, family relationships, friendships and school. This is arranged in a way that works best for the young person and can be in consultation with their school, family or other services supporting the young person. Contact Emma Whitbread using the contact information provided for more info if you are concerned about a young person or are a young person who would like a chat.

All groups and activities are free.
