Cambridge Online

Back to Activities

Cambridge Online is a charity that helps people improve their digital skills in a friendly, supportive community. You can book a one-to-one session with a digital champion who will support you to learn new skills and feel more confident online.

This activity is good for wellbeing because

  • learning something new can give you a confidence boost;
  • you will develop digital skills which will open up many possibilities for learning and socialising online;
  • there are opportunities to volunteer in a role suited to your skills.

What to expect?

Cambridge Online can help you to get online by teaching you digital skills. They can also support you to make the most of being online, for example searching and applying for jobs, improving literacy and numeracy skills, shopping online, using Facebook and socialising online.

You can attend a drop-in session at the Hester Adrian Centre on Hawthorn Way. Sessions run every day Monday to Friday. There is free parking and cycle parking available, and there is a bus stop nearby.  Visit the website for details and timings.

You can book a one-to-one appointment by contacting Cambridge Online on [email protected] or 01223 300407.

There are PCs available at the Centre which you can learn on (including touch screen and height adjustable tables). If you would prefer to learn on your own laptop, tablet or smart phone you are welcome to bring this along.

There are also digital drop-ins at Brown’s Field Community Centre in Arbury on Wednesdays, and at The Hub on Barnwell Road in Abbey on Thursdays. Visit the website for details and timings.
