Saturday Stay and Play group for children under the age of five and their fathers or male carers. Held once a month in Cambourne, but you don't have to be a resident of Cambourne to attend.
This activity is good for wellbeing because
- meeting other parents and carers and sharing experiences is reassuring and reduces isolation;
- Stay and Play activities are an excellent way to support your child’s development and learning;
- your confidence in your parenting skills will grow by observing and being around others – and professionals are available to help you with any concerns you have.

What to expect
A range of toys, play equipment and activities are available in ‘stations’ for your child to explore and play with. There could be messy activities so please dress your child in something you don’t mind getting dirty. There’s also circle-time for rhymes, stories and singing. Please bring along some fruit or vegetables to be shared by the group at snack time.
There’s a quieter baby area with wiggle mats, baby toys and cushions for your baby, and you can use this area for feeding. Self-weigh facilities are available during sessions if you’d like to weigh your baby.
Children do need to be supervised but you can still meet/chat with other parents/carers.
