Club Vintage meets every week to enable older people to get out of the house, socialise, learn new things and take part in gentle exercise. Organised by Bethel Baptist Church, everyone is welcome, not just residents of Swavesey or church-goers.
This activity is good for wellbeing because
- meeting people with similar experiences can make us feel less alone;
- living with memory loss can make socializing difficult but everyone at Club Vintage is understanding and supportive;
- getting out of the house and doing something different is daunting but the sense of achievement afterwards is great.
