Community Hubs

Back to Activities

Run within existing community spaces throughout South Cambs, Community Hubs provide a safe and friendly environment in which to connect with others. With free refreshments, activities, information and advice, everyone is welcome regardless of age or circumstances.

This activity is good for wellbeing because

  • connecting with others prevents feelings of loneliness and isolation;
  • in colder months, Community Hubs provide somewhere to stay warm;
  • volunteering at a Community Hub feels good!

Attending Community Hubs is free as are the refreshments on offer.

Public Libraries:

Libraries are free, safe and welcoming spaces you can spend time in if your local Community Hub isn’t open. They don’t all have the facilities to provide refreshments but they offer similar activities and support to those found at Community Hubs.  Find out more about where they are in South Cambs on this link.

Lend A Hand:

If you’d like to volunteer at a Community Hub, contact Cambridgeshire ACRE (tel: 01353 860850 or email [email protected]) who will put you in touch with your Community Hub leader.

Cost of Living Support:

With the increased cost of living, foodbanks and food hubs can also help make limited household budgets go further  – find out where they are in South Cambs on this link.

South Cambs District Council also provides information about cost of living support here.

Community Hubs have been funded by Cambridgeshire & Peterborough Integrated Care System, and organised by South Cambridgeshire District Council in association with Cambridgeshire ACRE.
