Coton Countryside Reserve – Cambridge Past, Present & Future

Back to Activities

Coton Countryside Reserve is a working farm offering beautiful views and a wide range of routes for walkers, cyclists and runners near the village of Coton. A lovely place to walk, play, picnic or enjoy nature.

This activity is good for wellbeing because

  • being outside and in green spaces is a proven stress-buster;
  • volunteers help to manage the habitats on the reserve – joining a work party to lend a hand is not only very sociable but it’s great exercise too;
  • if all you want is peace and quiet, there are walks with benches to sit and just ‘be’.

“It’s a hidden gem. I come here to stretch my legs and walk the dog.”

What to expect

The Reserve is open every day of the year from dawn till dusk. There are several entrances to the reserve on foot or cycle, including a free carpark off Grantchester Road. Directions and information about opening hours is on this link.

Near the carpark is an information display where you can find out about the Reserve and pick up a map.

Visitors can enjoy the following facilities:
