Carol is a fitness trainer who qualified later in life - she is passionate about helping people of all ages to get fitter and stronger. Fitness Pilates uses Pilates techniques to strengthen, stretch and condition the body, and it's great for de-stressing too.

This activity is good for wellbeing because

  • it can improve mobility, balance and posture;
  • group exercise is sociable and motivating;
  • it can prevent injury or help recovery from injury.

What to expect

Carol offers a range of different face-to-face workouts that incorporate Fitness Pilates – some sessions are for general fitness and there are also masterclasses that target specific body parts (including knees, spine and glutes). She has a particular interest and expertise supporting women who are experiencing the perimenopause or menopause, offering a free Facebook group for women to share information and experiences.

More information

Before your first session, Carol will ask you to complete a short questionnaire about your health to make sure that the class is suitable for you.

You’ll need to wear comfortable clothes and bring water and an exercise mat. All of the venues have parking.

Some sessions are pay-as-you-go (payable online in advance) and some are bought in blocks.
