FitSteps

Back to Activities

FitSteps is a dance fitness class based on all the dances you see on Strictly Come Dancing! No experience or partner required, it's a fun way to get fit.

This activity is good for wellbeing because

  • dancing to great music is a brilliant way to workout;
  • it’s a friendly, sociable activity and a good way to meet people;
  • dancing is good for mental wellbeing as well as physical health.

“A fun, friendly class where everyone is made to feel welcome and you leave with a smile on your face!”

What to expect

Founded by ex-Strictly professionals Ian Waite and Natalie Lowe, FitSteps uses Latin and ballroom dancing in a fitness context. You’ll improve your posture, balance, core strength and cardiovascular health as well as working the hips and legs. Great music, good company and fun dance steps mean you won’t even notice how hard you are working out!

You don’t need any previous dance experience, just a willingness to get involved – the emphasis is on having fun!
