For Men To Talk

Back to Activities

For Men To Talk organises informal online and in person groups for men with anxiety, depression and grief to support each other.

This activity is good for wellbeing because

  • sharing experiences helps us to feel less alone;
  • meeting other people can lead to friendship;
  • if you are really struggling, you will be signposted to other sources of support.

“For Men To Talk has been a shining light for me in real times of darkness. I was ‘one of those men’ that didn’t talk. I didn’t want to admit to myself and others that I wasn’t ok. I got to a point in my life where I hit rock bottom, which resulted in a mental health crisis that nearly ended my life.”

What to expect

An open-door policy encourages any man who feels the need to talk about their emotions to find solace in the shared experiences of others. There are informal in-person meetings, where men can talk, listen and support each other with whatever they are facing. There is also an online group that meets via Zoom. As well as an opportunity to talk and listen, signposting to other sources of support is also available if required.

'For Men to Talk...and Fish' events take place near Caldecote.

Visit the website for more information about when and where groups and events take place.
