Discover the joy of movement with Ceroc Spirit adult social dance classes in Fowlmere. Beginners are warmly welcomed—no partner required and no tricky footwork. Step into a relaxed, friendly space where you can leave the day’s stresses at the door and dance!
This activity is good for wellbeing because
- dancing elevates your heart rate which improves blood circulation, lowers the risk of cardiovascular disease and increases stamina;
- movements engage multiple muscle groups simultaneously, building endurance, core strength and lean muscle mass whilst releasing feel-good hormones;
- group and partner classes foster community ties and reduce feelings of isolation, whilst mastering new moves and expressing yourself physically can improve your self-esteem and body confidence.
"My only regret is I didn't do this sooner in life."
"I am going home on a high!"

What to expect
If you’ve always wanted to learn to dance but never taken the plunge, this is your opportunity with Alma who leads Ceroc Spirit sessions. Come on your own or bring some friends!
Ceroc is a form of modern jive that is simple to pick up with no complicated footwork, and complete beginners are welcome. You'll be surprised how quickly you'll pick up the basics.
If you don't have a partner, it is not a problem - dancing pairs are rotated throughout the class so you'll have someone to dance with.
Held on Wednesday evenings at Fowlmere Village Hall, beginners class starts at 7.45pm – arrive around 7.30pm to get settled. The class lasts 45 minutes with 15 minutes afterwards to practice, get a drink and chat. For very new beginners there is a revision class at 8.45pm to go over the class with some experienced dancers in a separate space - this is very informal with lots of laughs!
If you have any questions before attending for the first time, you can contact Alma using the details provided.
