A weekly drop-in Coffee Club in Fulbourn where anyone with mental health challenges can meet with others who understand, to share in gentle conversation over a cuppa in a safe and beautiful environment.
This activity is good for wellbeing because
- it provides a reason to get out once a week;
- it can reduce a sense of isolation and loneliness;
- connecting with others who understand and sharing coping strategies can enhance personal resilience.
“Apart my monthly sessions with my psychotherapist this is the best thing I do for my well-being: it really helps to talk to others here who face similar challenges.”
Heart and Soul Coffee Club is run by a friendly group of volunteers from Heart & Soul – a community of NHS chaplains, peer support workers and others who care about mental wellbeing.
The Coffee Club meets every Tuesday at 2pm at The Edge Cafe on Mill Road and every Wednesday at 3pm at The Edge Cafe in the Resource Centre at the Fulbourn Hospital site.
This activity is free, as is your first tea or coffee. Everyone is welcome.
If you wish, you can purchase food and additional beverages from the cafe.
