Good Mood Cafés - CPSL Mind

Back to Activities

CPSL Mind's Good Mood Cafés provide an opportunity to meet new people to share interests, skills and wellbeing tips in an informal space to help boost your mood. In South Cambs there are Good Mood Cafés in Cambourne, Landbeach and Milton.

This activity is good for wellbeing because

  • it's good to meet other people;
  • you can talk about things that are on your mind in a supportive and non-judgemental space;
  • it is good to get out and about and no-one will mind if you are having a tough day.

"It gets me out, I meet new people and it gives me quite a bit of pleasure."

Judith talks about hosting a Good Mood Café at her farm shop:

What to expect?

Good Mood Cafés are supportive and friendly places to have a cup of tea and a chat, hosted by CPSL Mind in a variety of venues across the county and online.

In-person Cafés are run by two trained facilitators. On arrival they will give you a friendly greeting and introduce you to some of the other attendees. The facilitators are there for support, advice and to help keep conversations upbeat and positive.

Anyone can attend for any reason – to seek support, learn wellbeing tips, meet other people or to share interests/skills. They are informal spaces and you can come and go as you please – there’s no obligation to stay for the whole time.

You don’t have to be in a good mood to attend a Good Mood Café – but it’s hoped that you’ll feel better for having been!
