The Tea & Chat home visiting service consists of a home visit to an older individual or couple living in Histon or Impington by Helen from the HI Friends team. Visits provide companionship & social connection.
This activity is good for wellbeing because
- meeting people can make us feel less alone;
- a home visit offers a chance to talk in the comfort of your own home;
- if you have something specific you need help with, you'll be signposted to other services.

What to expect
Helen or a member of the team will call for tea and a chat at an agreed time in your home. Visits can be a one-off or on a regular basis. Please provide refreshments! Visits are based on a 50 minute stay.
More information
Clients need to be able to independently use the bathroom themselves. As this is a home visit and chat service, Helen and the team are unable to undertake any extra tasks.
All home visitors are Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checked.

There is a fee for each visit (visit the website on the link provided to find out more) which can be paid on the day of the visit or alternatively invoices can be sent on a monthly basis to the client or a member of the client's family.
