Histon & Impington Day Centre and HI Friends Hub

Back to Activities

Histon & Impington Day Centre and HI Friends Hub provides a safe, friendly environment for older people and those living with memory loss. Open twice a week, it offers a hot home-cooked meal, activities and friendship. Transport can be provided on request.

This activity is good for wellbeing because

  • meeting people who have similar experiences can make us feel less alone;
  • visiting Histon & Impington Day Centre gives carers/family respite;
  • getting out of the house and doing something different can be daunting but the sense of achievement afterwards feels great.

Visiting the Histon & Impington Day Centre & HI Friends Hub:

What to expect

Activities vary from session to session, but can include quizzes, games, bingo, arts, crafts and singing along to tunes from the keyboard. There is always a delicious home-cooked lunch and pudding made by volunteers, using fresh produce.
