Internet Clubs

Back to Activities

Internet Clubs are groups that meet regularly to help people with any problems they may be experiencing with getting online on laptops, smart phones, tablets, ipads and so on. In South Cambs, they are currently held in Coton, Grantchester and Toft.

This activity is good for wellbeing because

  • groups provide company, biscuits, coffee and lively discussion for people who are on their own or need IT advice;
  • online activities and problems can cause great stress and worry – Internet Clubs help solve problems and ease stress;
  • filling in forms online, such as bus pass and blue badge applications can be tricky – Internet Clubs can help you with this and you’ll be improving your IT skills at the same time.

“I had never used a tablet before coming to Coton Internet Club – now I do emails and listen to my favourite music!”

What to expect

To find out when Internet Club sessions are held, check the website link or use the email address in the contact info.

When you’ve found an Internet Club you’d like to attend, you can just turn up – there’s no need to book. Bring with you any laptop, phone, tablet, ipad that you need help with – anyone who needs help getting things done online is most welcome. Tea, coffee and biscuits are available too.
