The Memory Café is a monthly social group at Trumpington Pavilion for people living with memory loss and their carers and companions. You can meet new people, enjoy a cuppa and a chat, take part in entertainment and sing songs together.
This activity is good for wellbeing because
- joining in with the singing and entertainment is uplifting and can give you a wellbeing boost;
- you can meet people who have had similar experiences;
- living with memory loss can make socialising difficult but everyone in the group is understanding and supportive.
“We look forward to the sessions so much. We’ll go home today and immediately start looking forward to the one next month.”
“Everyone’s so friendly here, they are like family.”
