Muay Thai is a form of kickboxing that incorporates knees and elbows as well as punches and kicks. This is a contact class taught by Junior Herbert who founded the Academy and is a Third Dan Black Belt in Muay Thai.

This activity is good for wellbeing because

  • learning new skills with a trained instructor is a great way to boost your mental health and get a sense of achievement;
  • exercise is a great stress-buster;
  • working out with others is motivational as well as sociable.

What to expect

This extremely physical class will skyrocket both your fitness and your skill set. It is suitable for men and women. With Junior’s 20 years of fighting experience, he will teach you specific drills and techniques that will make you a better kickboxer.

It is a contact class, which involves pad work and sparring – all members who want to spar at the end of each class must obtain a license from Junior to do so. This ensures safety and proper practice procedures.

More information

Wear something comfortable. Bring water so you can stay hydrated and don’t eat anything at least one hour before exercise. All other equipment is provided.

There is free parking at the venue and toilets, but no changing facilities.
