Make & Mingle is a free monthly opportunity to bring your current crafty project along and chat with other local people while you craft for a couple of hours at Northstowe Tap & Social.
This activity is good for wellbeing because
- crafting in whatever form is good for both mental and physical wellbeing!
- getting to know other local likeminded people increases your sense of connection and decreases loneliness and isolation;
- having a specific time each month to meet other people and prioritise your craft project is an opportunity to focus in on your own wellbeing over all the rest of life’s priorities.
“It’s hard to find time to focus on my wellbeing – family life is just so busy at the moment and there’s not much money for “hobbies”. Putting this in the diary each month feels like it’s not too much to commit to, but I come away each time feeling both rested and energised for the rest of the week!”
