Northstowe Arts - Northstowe Makers

Back to Activities

Northstowe Makers is a monthly creative wellbeing group where adults can try new arts and crafts, meet others from the local community, and contribute to something bigger. No previous arts or crafts experience necessary.

This activity is good for wellbeing because

  • creativity is relaxing - sessions are informal and friendly;
  • getting to know other local likeminded people increases your sense of connection and decreases loneliness and isolation;
  • you'll be learning new skills.

What to expect

Taking place on the second Thursday of the month from September 2025, from 1pm to 3pm, at The Cabin on Pathfinder Way in Northstowe. You’ll be supported by the Northstowe Makers co-ordinator, and guided by a creative specialist at the start of each new project, so you can learn new skills and techniques. No previous experience is necessary and sessions are aimed at all abilities.

You can work on your own piece of work, at your own pace and take home what you create.

Sessions last two hours but you don't have to stay for the whole time.
