Open Water Swimming

Back to Activities

Open water swimming has grown in popularity due to how exhilarating it can be to swim in the sea, lakes, ponds or rivers. It is safest to try open water swimming as part of a supervised group and only if you are a confident swimmer. Sessions are in Milton and Waterbeach.

This activity is good for wellbeing because

  • open water swimming has mental and physical health benefits;
  • being outside and in or near water is energising;
  • meeting people with similar interests can lead to new friendships.
