Papworth - Pendragon Art Club

Back to Activities

Playful, relaxed and friendly group art sessions at Papworth Printworks for age 12+ offering a supportive and encouraging environment to explore creative techniques, experiment with new ideas and work with diverse art materials.

This activity is good for wellbeing because

  • it is a friendly and supportive group - there is no judgement about what you create or make, just lots of ideas and encouragement;
  • there is a playful theme each week that will help to unleash your creativity;
  • it's a chance to do something hands-on and engaging - to slow down, enjoy the process of making art and to have fun!

"Welcoming, accessible, fun - no matter how skilled you are (or aren't!), Su helps you make great art."

What to expect

Pendragon Art Club is for anyone aged 12 years and over who wants to make art on a regular basis as part of a friendly group of people.

The first time you attend you will be made to feel welcome by Su who runs the group (Su is a graphic designer with over 25 years of experience). Su will introduce everyone and then share the the activity or theme for the session. If you are nervous, you can contact Su beforehand and join her as she sets up the room and get settled before everyone arrives.

Sessions last an hour and a half but the group doesn't need to leave the room quickly so there is time to finish what you are doing without rushing. Or if you need to leave early, that's fine too. You can find out dates/times and book the session you'd like to attend in advance on the website (see contact information for the link).

All materials are provided and Su can show you what to do. Everyone is welcome regardless of their skills, experience or ability.

More information

There are onsite parking spaces including blue badge spaces, and the room is at ground level and wheelchair accessible.

If the session has to be cancelled Su will do her best to contact everyone who has bought a ticket as well as letting Papworth Printworks know.

Drinks and snacks can be bought from the on-site Papworth Printworks bar and cafe (you will get a 10% discount code), or you can bring your own refreshments.

You can bring along a carer, parent, social prescriber or support worker but do let Su know in advance.
