Learn to plan and cook tasty, nutritious meals on a budget at these free workshops in Royston.

  • making your money stretch further but still cooking nutritious food is important to stay healthy;
  • you'll meet other people and can share helpful ideas and tips.

What to expect

Learn to cook on a budget at these free 90 minute workshops where you can discover some easy recipes and cooking tricks to create affordable, delicious, and healthy dishes without the need for pricey ingredients. You will prepare a delicious meal during the session to take away with you.

A different meal will be cooked in each session, so you are free to join any one or all three workshops.

All equipment and ingredients will be provided and all levels of experience including total beginners are welcome. Free refreshments will be offered and the chance to meet others.

The group meets in the main hall so come in from the Market Hill entrance. Disabled toilet and baby changing facilities are available. Level access from the street is via a temporary ramp.

There are disabled parking spaces outside the Market Hill entrance to the Old Schoolhouse.  Otherwise there is long stay paid parking in the Civic Centre and The Warren car parks, both are which are about a five minute walk from the venue. The Market Place car park is a two minute walk but not available on market days (Wednesdays and Saturdays).  Car parks | North Herts Council

Attending one/all of these workshops is free, including ingredients and refreshments but booking (via this link) is essential.
