Learn and practice the art of mindful meditation in nature with a group of like-minded people in Wandlebury Country Park. The sessions are led by an experienced meditation teacher who leads the group in guided meditations.
This activity is good for wellbeing because
- it's an opportunity to slow down the busy pace of life, by turning our attention to nature's beauty;
- breathe fresh air with gentle exercise, accessible to those with reduced mobility;
- meet new friends over a hot drink and share experiences.
"David's walk helped me to recover from a very stressful period in my life with a gentle combination of wise guidance, listening and creating a space to meet others."
"It’s a lovely moment of peace and calm and a chance to pause".

What to expect
Calm Under the Canopy sessions are held monthly on Friday afternoons at Wandlebury Country Park.
Resident Mindful Green Coach, David Lynch, leads the group in guided meditations, helping people to connect with nature and with their individual experiences, which can help to de-stress.
The sessions take place while gently meandering around the park, being quiet and present in nature whilst enjoying the changing weather and seasons.
At the end of each session everyone is welcome to stay for a drink and chat at the pop-up cafe to share experiences.
