What to expect
Addicted to Football sessions are held weekly at the Community Stadium in Sawston. For timings visit the website.
The sessions are open to anyone aged over 18 of any gender or background. This includes people who are currently experiencing mental health challenges or addiction issues as well as those who have experienced challenges in the past, or anyone from the wider community who would like to support the group.
No previous football experience is needed. Each session begins with stretches and warm ups, followed by exercises, mini games and sometimes fun matches. You can participate in as much or as little as you like. The sessions end with a check-in circle which is a space for people to share how their week has been. There is no pressure to share, you are welcometo just listen if you prefer.
If you would like to come along to a session contact Charlie on 07777 118 363 or [email protected]. He would be very happy to have a chat with you in advance on the phone or via Zoom.
When you come along to your first session go straight to the pitch where Charlie will introduce you to the rest of the group.
