What to expect
Cambridgeshire Skills is an adult and community learning service for anyone over the age of 19.
Cambridgeshire Skills wants to help you to make the choice that is right for you. So, whether you are planning to step back to learning, or to fulfil your career ambitions, they have got a range of courses and ways to learn. Courses include:
- family budgeting and money management;
- skills-based courses like using Excel and Word;
- learning English for beginners;
- employability skills;
- writing CVs and job applications.
There are also a range of community learning courses (fully funded if you are a Cambridgeshire resident) and bitesize courses.

Starting your journey with Cambridgeshire Skills is easy. You can make an appointment with the Admissions Team and enrol in person (call 01353 613013) – this is in March, Cambridgeshire. You will have the opportunity to be fully supported with the enrolment process and ask any questions you may have. You can also either enrol by calling 01353 613013 or emailing [email protected].
Courses are either free or require a fee subject to the CPCA (Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority) or ESFA (Education Skills Funding Agency) funding rules, depending on your postcode. Any fee charged is payable prior to the start of your course. They may be able to help with the fees on some courses, particularly if you are unemployed, in receipt of benefits, or low waged and are enrolling on a course to help you find employment.
