Cambridge Water’s Priority Service Register provides free practical support to a range of people who might need extra help due to medical, learning, physical disabilities or financial difficulties.

They can support you by:

  • giving you hands-on help in the event of a water supply interruption;
  • helping you if you have trouble reading or understanding your bill, or reading your meter;
  • protecting you against bogus callers with a password-protection scheme;
  • sending bills in alternative formats;
  • letting you nominate a trusted friend, family member or carer to manage your account on your behalf.

Financial Support

Cambridge Water also provides extra support for customers who are finding keeping up with their bills challenging. Here are some of the ways in which they can help:

  • providing payment breaks for anyone temporarily unable to make their payments;
  • putting a cap on your charges for water and sewerage services through WaterSure (a national scheme for those receiving certain income-related benefits – visit their website to see current eligibility requirements);
