What to expect
Community Hubs are friendly places to help you stay connected. Community Hubs offer light refreshments and somewhere to socialise. You can access information on how to reduce bills, find out about additional financial support as well as how to stay healthy and well. Activities and services at Community Hubs are run by trained local volunteers. All Community Hubs offer free wifi so you can work or study there.
Community Hubs are accessible for those with mobility issues. You can visit as many times as you like and stay for as long as the Hub is open, or you can head off anytime. No need to book, just turn up.
Village Agents provide help, support and solutions for the health and social care needs of rural residents by connecting and signposting people with the services that might make their lives easier and better. Village Agents will have a regular presence in Community Hubs but will also attend other groups, activities and events to get to know local people. Here are details of the Village Agents in South Cambs:
- Angela Stibbs ([email protected])
- Lisa Chambers ([email protected])

Public Libraries:
Libraries are free, safe and welcoming spaces you can spend time in if your local Community Hub isn’t open. They don’t all have the facilities to provide refreshments but they offer similar activities and support to those found at Community Hubs. Find out more about where they are in South Cambs on this link.
Lend A Hand:
If you’d like to volunteer at a Community Hub, contact Cambridgeshire ACRE (tel: 01353 860850 or email [email protected]) who will put you in touch with your Community Hub leader.
Cost of Living Support:
With the increased cost of living, foodbanks and food hubs can also help make limited household budgets go further. Find out where they are in South Cambs on this link.
South Cambs District Council also provides information about cost of living support here.
Attending Community Hubs is free as are the refreshments on offer.
Community Hubs and Village Agents have been funded by Cambridgeshire & Peterborough Integrated Care System, and organised by South Cambridgeshire District Council in association with Cambridgeshire ACRE.
