Gamlingay Grief Chat Café

Back to Support

Held in Gamlingay Eco Hub, Grief Chat Café is a support group for people experiencing bereavement and isolation. It doesn't matter who or what you've lost (or when), if you are looking for a supportive space with people who understand, then the Grief Chat Café is for you.

What to expect

“I have felt quite lonely and its good to be with others who understand what it’s like.”

Grief Chat Café is not ‘therapy’, it is a supportive and kind space where people are safe to be vulnerable and share experiences and emotions. You can chat, listen or just ‘be’ over tea, coffee and cake. It doesn’t matter what or who you have lost, or when; if you have experienced grief or a bereavement, then the Café is a good place to talk with others who will understand.

It is run by Liz Barka who is an experienced, qualified funeral professional and Grief & Bereavement Coach.

More information

You can find details of dates and times on the Gamlingay Eco Hub website here.

Held every two weeks, you don’t need to book to attend Grief Chat Café – it’s drop-in (you don’t even need to stay for the full two hours), however Liz suggests that you contact her via email or phone if you are thinking of coming so she knows how many cakes to bake.

You don’t have to be a resident of Gamlingay to attend the Café.

Gamlingay Eco Hub is fully accessible for wheelchair users and has ample free parking.

Attending the cafe is free; but a small donation towards running costs is appreciated.
