How Are You South Cambs – Local Resources

Back to Support

How Are You South Cambs is a website that will introduce you to local activities and services that boost health and wellbeing.

Meet Charity Green, the Community & Digital Engagement Coordinator for How Are You South Cambs:

What to expect

How Are You (H.A.Y.) South Cambs is a website that will introduce you to local activities and services that boost health and wellbeing. It is one of six websites covering each district in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough – take a look on this link.

We know that trying a new activity or accessing a service for the first time can be daunting and you may have questions or concerns. How Are You South Cambs aims to reassure you by providing relevant information you might need, as well as what to expect the first time you go, including videos, photos and introductions to the people you might meet.

Here’s a video showing how you can find what you are looking for on our websites:

If you’d like your group, activity or service to be on How Are You South Cambs:

If you lead a group or activity, or provide a service that supports health and wellbeing, you may have already been contacted by a member of the How Are You team, or you may have come across us on Facebook or at a local event. The Digital & Engagement Coordinator for How Are You South Cambs is Charity Green.

If you’d like your group, activity or service to feature on the How Are You South Cambs website, Charity can have a chat with you online or visit you face-to-face. At this meeting she’ll tell you more about How Are You Cambridgeshire & Peterborough and give you a demonstration of how our websites work so you can use them for yourself or with someone you support. Following this meeting she may ask you to complete a form as well as email any photos, videos, logos or weblinks. If you need help filling out the form, taking photos or videos, Charity can do this on your behalf.

If you what you do is good for wellbeing but is time-limited and isn’t available all the time (say an annual event, festival or workshop) we may be able to promote it on the How Are You South Cambs Facebook page rather than creating a How Are You South Cambs webpage.

Once your webpage is published online, Charity will link you with other groups, organisations and professionals that should know about what you do. The How Are You team may also share information with you about training opportunities, funding and networking events. We hope you will keep in touch with us too to let us know if anything changes or your webpage needs updating.
