What to expect
PeoplePlus’s support services “hand hold” you through your direct payment journey, from referral stage to the ongoing support with recruitment, payroll, and employment advice and guidance. Services are delivered remotely, however they do provide a community presence through networking, visiting families in their own homes on request.
If you receive a service from them, they also provide remote peer support group sessions, employment workshops, community coffee mornings, and drop-in sessions for professionals.
The aim is to enable you to maximise your independence so you are able to live the life you choose. They do this through providing the following services:
- information about direct payments;
- support to recruit and employ a personal assistant;
- help to identify a suitable support provider (such as a care agency);
- help to identify community support which meets your desired outcomes;
- support with planning for contingencies and emergencies;
- access to peer support in local community settings across Cambridgeshire.
