Sands Baby Loss Peer Support Groups

Back to Support

Offering peer-to-peer support to anyone affected by the loss of a baby or pregnancy. Groups are informal and facilitated by trained Sands volunteer befrienders. Groups meet in-person in Papworth and online.

What to expect

If you have been affected by the loss of a baby or pregnancy, Sands peer-to-peer support groups offer a safe space to talk or just listen if you would prefer. It's an opportunity to meet others, gain support and share your experience. It doesn't matter when you lost your baby - if you would like to be around others who understand, then this group can help you.

Groups last around an hour and people can sit on chairs in a circle or however you prefer. The group is facilitated by trained volunteer befrienders, Kym and Nathalie. If you are feeling anxious about attending for the first time, you can email them and arrange to meet outside beforehand and they will walk into the group with you.

Groups meet every month - to find out dates and times, email Kym and Nathalie on the contact info provided.

If there isn't a group near you, or you'd rather seek support online, you can book into a Sands online support meeting.
