The Kite Trust runs social groups for LGBTQ+ young people throughout Cambridgeshire and Peterborough. They are completely free to attend: if you’re LGBTQ+ (or questioning your gender or sexuality) and aged 30 or under, you’re welcome to come along.
Social groups are safe, friendly and sober spaces for you to get involved in fun activities, make friends from the local LGBTQ+ community and discuss whatever is relevant to you. You can be yourself!
Most groups are are open to young people between the ages of 13 and 25, although there are age-specific groups that meet online. There are also groups specifically for disabled/neuro divergent people as well as for trans and nonbinary young people.
Run by skilled staff and volunteers, no two social groups are the same as they incorporate a wide range of activities such as games, crafts, cooking activities, silly sports, creative arts, and discussions about all things LGBTQ+.
One-to-one support is also available. Contact The Kite Trust for details of what is happening, where and when.
All groups and activities are free to attend.
