What to expect
Whereas traditional bus services allow you to catch a bus from a designated bus stop at various scheduled times throughout the day, Tiger On Demand offers more flexibility. It allows people to book and pay for bus journeys between designated virtual bus stops within specific zones. Operating Monday to Saturday, 6.30am to 7pm, it is a flexible and affordable service that has been designed to fill gaps in public transport, making it easier to travel in rural areas.
Once you've booked your journey (see info below) and your ride is confirmed, you can walk to the pick-up location and meet the vehicle. You'll be sharing the ride with others and there may be stops on the way. The route planner on the website and on the app will indicate the nearest stop to your destination, which may be a short walk away.
When you get on the vehicle, give the driver your name and they will check it against the journeys that have been booked.
Tiger On Demand is currently available in the locations indicated on the map, but check the website for up-to-date information.
