Via a network of local charities, Citizens Advice offers free and confidential advice online, over the phone and in person. Trained volunteer advisers can help you with debt, benefits, work, relationships, housing and more. Services are free and in total confidence.

Cambridge and District Citizens Advice

Providing free confidential, impartial advice and support to people living in Cambridge and surrounding area (including South Cambs). To make an appointment or get advice, call Adviceline on 0808 278 7808 (Mon – Fri 9am to 5pm) or complete an online enquiry form. Advisers can either help you over the phone, or arrange a follow-up appointment via telephone, video or face to face, depending on where you live and whether you have internet access. Face-to-face appointments are by pre-booked appointment only, and are held at the main offices on Devonshire Road in Cambridge. The website also has an online help section with useful information and guidance on a range of topics.

Sessions are held every two weeks by appointment only – contact Hope Against Poverty CIC for a referral and information about how to make an appointment.

Work & Health Employment Hub – Melbourn Hub

If you are aged 18-65, have a health condition or disability and need support to get back into employment or training, these sessions can support you. Email [email protected] to make an appointment or drop-in every Monday from 10am – 1pm.

Income Maximisation – Orchard Park Community Centre, Orchard Park

Held every two weeks, these sessions will ensure you are receiving all entitlements, discounts and benefits whilst  cutting your household costs. They can also help with budgeting and debt management. Telephone 0808 2787808 or complete the online form to make an appointment.
