Held at Gamlingay Baptist Church, the Backroom Café is a lively volunteer-run café serving friendship, great coffee and homemade cake. Anyone of any age is welcome to come along - it's not just for residents of the village.
This activity is good for wellbeing because

What to expect
A warm welcome alongside homemade cakes & bakes, great coffee and wifi are on offer at the Backroom Café. Follow the signs from Stocks Lane, then when you arrive, take a seat and you will be served at your table – everyone gets a friendly greeting. There are tables in quiet areas if you want to work, study or read; tables outside if you have a dog with you or want to keep cool; and there is a comfy seating area for parents with babies and young children (with play mats and toys).

Run by a team of volunteers with Adrian the pastor (who is also a trained barista) behind the counter, the Backroom Café takes place every Monday and every third Sunday (see website for more details).
Held in the back room of the Baptist Church in Gamlingay (hence the name), it is a wheelchair accessible space as well having accessible toilets and baby-changing facilities.
If coffee and chat isn’t your thing, Adrian is always on the look-out for volunteers who can serve, bake, greet or tidy up.
