Cambourne Health and Wellbeing Club

Back to Activities

A friendly group for older adults that promotes independence, mobility and good health through exercise (with time for chat and refreshments too). Located in Cambourne but for anyone in South Cambs.

This activity is good for wellbeing because

  • exercise improves strength and confidence, reducing the risk of falls;
  • it’s a sociable group and you might make new friends;
  • getting out of the house and making exercise part of your routine feels good.

What to expect

Led by Catherine Price, the Cambourne Parish Nurse, these sessions are held on the first and third Friday of the month from 10.30am to 12.00 noon (school term time only). Exercises are designed to improve strength, balance and mobility in older adults and can be modified to suit your abilities and confidence. As well as exercise, there’s time for chat and refreshments too.

If you would like to talk to Catherine to find out more, you can call her via the Cambourne Church office telephone number provided or by sending her an email.

More information

No need to book, you can just turn up. All equipment is provided – just wear comfortable clothes and shoes. You don’t need to be a church-goer to attend – or even a resident of Cambourne.
