Wandlebury Country Park is a beautiful country estate just outside of Cambridge, offering miles of walks through woodland and meadows. A lovely place to walk, play, picnic or enjoy nature.
This activity is good for wellbeing because
- being outside and in green spaces is a proven stress-buster;
- there’s always lots to do – from events and activities through to volunteering projects or grabbing a drink and a snack from the pop-up café;
- if all you want is peace and quiet, there are quieter and more secluded walks with benches to sit and just ‘be’.
“I’ve been coming here since I was a child and I remember building dens and climbing trees! Now I bring my own family and my dog to let off steam and get some fresh air. We all love it here.”
“This was the first time I have taken part in volunteering at Wandlebury and I was thoroughly impressed by the experience. The wardens were welcoming and patient, I felt valued and included, and I came away feeling that I had learnt something and contributed something.”
